NCAA BASEBALL: MAY 22 FIU at FAU

22 May 2010: FIU's Garrett Wittels (10) runs the bases after hitting a double in the third inning as the Florida Atlantic University Owls defeated the FIU Golden Panthers, 14-10, at FAU Stadium in Miami, Florida. With the double, Wittels surpassed Wichita State's Phil Stephenson (47 straight games, 1981), to become the second-longest hitting streak in Division I history, and pulling within 10 games of Oklahoma State's Robin Ventura, who holds the NCAA record with a 58-game hitting streak in 1987.
